Work in progress

SIMULATIONS

My starting point was to work towards a large 3-dimensional installation with light and movement with the students of the TU Eindhoven. During the slow development process, at Studio Beeldenstorm I began to make photographs of the moulds and scale models. In these I can show simulations of sea and landscapes or installations of a large size, a bigger dimension.

Not manipulated photographs.

Statement of art practice

In my working process I am investigating the 2 and 3-d plane. Right now I am working with transparent forms, to enquire into the process of the material and the play of light. To build spaces between two and three dimensions. To construct a reality as it were.

What I like to accomplish

I want to research the paradox and the waves in the land- and seascape, I see them as a giant mould. To me, undulations of the water’s surface, motion in the seafloor, the eroded windswept wave-formations of the rocks are like an ever expanding perspective.
